Researcher from HMCSR attended the “First conference on Cancer Biobanking” that was held in Amman from 10^th to 11^th of April 2014.

This conference was the first of its kind in the Middle East titled “Conference on Cancer Biobanking: Establishing the First Cancer Biobank in Jordan,” which was sponsored by the FP7-EU program and considered as an initiative of KHCC with ESBB and WHO support. The conference was  held under the patronage of HRH Princess Ghida Talal at the Le Meridian Hotel, Amman, Jordan on the 10^th and 11^th of April, 2014

The conference featured plenary lectures delivered by renowned local, regional and international clinicians, researchers and biobankers. Invaluable knowledge was delivered in this conference, and new partnerships were established between biobanks all over the world. A scientific exhibition of pharmaceuticals, medical and clinical equipment/ items related to biobanking and other related products also took place which allowed discussion and exchange of information between relevant delegates and leading industrial companies.
