Ancient Water Technologies and Sustainable Basin Management 11-15/8/2014 This international joint student project (JSP) organized by the Water, Energy and Environment Center/ University of Jordan, and funded by DAAD in cooperation with EXCEED and federal ministry for economic cooperation and development under the CNRD project. Participate in this JSP students and staff from Jordan, Germany, Mexico and chili Partners, the aim from this JSP is to understand challenges and opportunities of IWRM in Petra area. The JSP was held in 11th – 15th August 2014, include three days in Petra where they visited the historical site and the wastewater treatment plant also they met with the stake holders in the area. And two days in Jordan University where they discussed the optimal adaptation and mitigation strategies to climate variability and land degradation in the Petra area and present the result as present the result as presentation.
