Managed Aquifer recharge workshop, November 2014, include Doctors from SQU Oman, Nebraska University and USA., Scientific workshop for Managed Aquifer Recharge using treated Wastewater in Different Geological Settings of MENA countries, which was implemented in partnership with Sultan Qaboos university of Oman and the University of Nebraska supported by Agency for International Development, aims to reuse of treated wastewater in recharge Amman Zarqa Basin area and depressions work. During the workshop Professor Khatari/Head of Water, Energy and Environment center clarified the efforts by the Water, Energy and Environment Center to meet the challenges of scarcity of water through the preparation of studies and specialized research and cooperation with local and international bodies and organizations in order to maintain and improve the sustainability of water resources and quality. And the project manager Dr. Marwan Al-Raggad clarified that the project came to improve the excess water for ground water recharge and raise the water level in the ground water.
