The scientific judging committee for HMCSR has announced the 7 projects that will be funded for the year 2014 with a total budget of 36000 JD, the funded projects were distributed as two for researcher from the faculty of science, two for researchers from the faculty of pharmacy, one for researcher from the faculty of medicine, and two for researchers from HMCSR.
Dr. Kamal AbdelRahim Sweidan, associate professor at the department of chemistry, got a fund with a total of 5000 JD for his research project "Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Evaluation for some PI3Ks Inhibitors- Organic Molecules"
Dr. Sharif Arar, lecturer at the department of chemistry, got a fund with a total of 4000 JD for his research project "Preparation of new stationary phases based on new polymeric materials for gas chromatographic separation of isomers"
Dr. Loai Alzghoul, assistant professor at the department of physiology and biochemistry, faculty of medicine, got a fund with a total of 5000 JD for his research project "The Role of sulfur-containing amino acids metabolic cycle and vitamin B12 levels in the pathophysiology of autism"
Dr. Sharif Abdelghany, assistant professor at the department of pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology, got a fund with a total of 6000 JD for his research project "Design of dissolvable polymeric microneedles for dermal delivery of antibiotics"
Dr. Mahmoud Alkawareek, assistant professor at the department of pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical technology, got a fund with a total of 6000 JD for his research project "Synergistic antibiofilm activity of atmospheric pressure non-thermal plasma and conventional antibacterial agents"
Dr. Nehaya Alkarablieh, assistant researcher at HMCSR, got a fund with a total of 5000 JD for her research project "Siderophores competition between plant pathogenic bacteria Pseudomonas viridiflava and putative antagonistic bacteria"
Hiba Zalloum, research assistant at HMCSR, got a fund with a total of 5000 JD for her project "Synthesis, characterization and anti-cancer activity of novel amidrazones"
