Realizing the importance of the water energy and environment in the overall economic and social development in Jordan, the University of Jordan (JU) established the Water, Energy and Environment Center as a research unit in 1982. The center plays a leading role to develop and implement national strategies to improve and manage Jordan’s water energy resources and to protect the environment.
