Establishing the Aqaba branch of the University of Jordan in 2009 as an enlighteningeducational edifice aimed at providing Aqaba governorate with a beacon of knowledge and experience. Then, in 2015, the Language Centre was founded to become a nucleus of state-of-the-art training in the field of modern languages.

Since then, the Language Centre has sought to provide training and language services with professional standards offered by highly-qualified Arab and foreign instructors with distinctive academic expertise. The centre also sought to diversify the programmes offered to the local community so that they serve the needs of all trainees taking into consideration their different backgrounds and levels of education.

Aiming to contribute its share in developing the city of Aqaba, the Language Centrehas always worked to sign agreements with numerous organizations located in Aqaba to equip workforces with the language training needed for their professional development. The Centre’s services also includetranslating documents, administrating international and local examinations as well as teaching Arabic to speakers of other languages.

As an educational and training hub, the Language Centreworks hardto keep up with the advancements in the field of teaching and training to serve the local community in the best way possible.
