Since the initiative proved to be quite successful, UJ decided to adopt it formally, and to institutionalize it. Toward this end, the Deans' Council issued a decision making it mandatory to implement blended learning in all compulsory University Requirements, and to make it incumbent upon the various faculties to expand in blended learning – carefully but steadily. It also created the Center for Open Educational Resources and Blended Learning, as stated above, in order to oversee and monitor the process from A to Z, and made available the necessary legislation governing and regulating the process. It also made available on campus several blended-learning stations, facilities, and equipment for producing educational videos, especially since e-content available in Arabic is a bit poor. Moreover, UJ made the blended learning initiative part and parcel of its overall smart-campus drive.
