The University of Jordan, Aqaba branch, has endeavored, as
part of its educational and societal mission, to create various training and
educational centers to work towards rehabilitating and developing the human
element in the Aqaba Governorate. International curricula and qualified
teachers with experience and competence. Since its establishment in 2015, the
Language Center has worked on rehabilitating and developing workers in public
and private sector institutions and companies through holding a set of language
programs and specialized courses within the needs of companies and the scope of
work, in addition to holding a series of Language courses for the local
community, public and private sector schools, not to mention the workshops.
The role of the
center was not limited locally, but the center seeks to extend cooperation with
Arab and Western universities to conclude international agreements to exchange
experiences and attract foreign teachers to work within the center’s staff
through programs for teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, which is based on
attracting foreign students within a specialized study program in the language
Arabic by teachers specialized in this and work on introducing them to the
archaeological, tourist and religious sites, which are mixed with the nature of
the heritage, originality and Arab traditions.
The
center also seeks approval to hold local and international language exams at
the Language Center for students wishing to complete postgraduate studies
or immigration to be a comprehensive center based on serving the local
community and neighboring universities in various fields and at various
levels.
