Flow
cytometry is a technology that measures and analyzes multiple physical
characteristics of single cells as they flow in a fluid stream through a beam
of light.Flow cytometry can identify and isolate the target cell population.
This process enables to verify the purity of the samples by detecting and
removing unwanted cells or debris. BDFACS CANTO II flow cytometer has three lasers:
Blue (488mn), Red (633nm) and Violet (405nm). It can detect 10 parameters (8
colours plus forward scatter and side scatter). Its suited
for rare event analysis with its high speed, great sensitivity, and minimal
sample-to-sample carryover. It
supports a broad range of research applications includes; immunophenotyping, cell sorting, cell
cycle analysis, cell viability apoptosis, cancer diagnosis and drug discovery
and development. these data are acquired through BD FACSDIVAtm
