The Center for Women's Studies at the University of Jordan held an intellectual session titled *“The Arab Feminist Discourse in the Era of Digitalization and Symbolic Domination."* The session hosted Dr. Mariz Mustafa Younes, CEO of the International Network for the Study of Arab Societies, with the participation of the Center's Director, Professor Dr. Amal Al-Awawadeh, along with faculty and administrative staff members, as well as a number of students and graduates of the center.
This session was organized as part of a joint effort to foster Arab feminist dialogue and to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the fields of knowledge and digitalization.
The discussion addressed key contemporary challenges and concepts facing Arab feminist researchers in rapidly evolving intellectual environments, particularly in light of the swift advancements in artificial intelligence tools and their associated forms of symbolic domination over scientific and knowledge production.
The session included critical questions regarding the position of women within the digital knowledge space, an analysis of the structural transformations in Arab feminist discourse, and the exploration of new research concepts and experiences shared by participating students. This initiative aims to pave the way for future intellectual engagement within a broader academic framework.
