Specialized Training on “Women's Economic Empowerment" within the Framework of the Feminist Fellowship Project*

As part of the activities of the Feminist Fellowship Project, implemented by the Center for Women's Studies at the University of Jordan in partnership with the project Enhancing Women's Political and Economic Participation in the Middle East and North Africa (WoMENA), carried out by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), a specialized training entitled “Women's Economic Empowerment" was held at the GIZ headquarters.

Professor Dr. Amal Al-Awawdeh, Director of the Center for Women's Studies, emphasized the importance of such programs in refining the skills of female students and graduates, and in enhancing their academic and practical knowledge in the field of economic empowerment. This, she noted, aligns with the project's objectives of supporting women's active participation in academic, professional, and societal life.

This training comes within the project's broader mission to develop distinctive practical and professional skills for participants, enabling them to apply their knowledge and expertise in ways that serve their future aspirations and contribute to their effective integration into the labor market and active community participation.
