**Women's Studies Center and Membership in the Equal Pay Committee**
Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal affirmed that Jordan's accession in 2018 to the *International Equal Pay Coalition (EPIC)*—as the first Arab country to do so—came as a reflection of the Kingdom's strong belief in the importance of achieving justice and fairness in wages between men and women, and in increasing women's economic participation.
During her chairing of a panel discussion on Monday, held on the sidelines of the twentieth meeting of the Jordanian National Committee for Pay Equity, Her Royal Highness stated that Jordan was among the first countries in the region to ratify international conventions related to equality and non-discrimination. She noted that throughout its journey, the Committee has represented a distinguished model of partnership among the government, the private sector, and civil society organizations.
Under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Basma bint Talal, and on the occasion of the *International Equal Pay Day* and the twentieth meeting of the Jordanian National Committee for Pay Equity, a panel discussion titled **“Fair Wages… A Right for All" ** was held, aiming to shed light on the importance of achieving pay equity and promoting the principle of equal opportunities in the Jordanian labor market.
