The Water, Energy and Environment (WEE) center organized a workshop on Greywater Treatment Technology. The workshop aimed at assessing the current situation in Jordan in terms of greywater generated amounts and the common practices in this area. Mr. Sebastian Jacob from GreenLife company emphasized the importance of the establishment of greywater projects (collection and treatment) in light of the challenges facing Jordan in terms of water scarcity. In his turn, Dr. Abdallah Nassour from University of Rostock presented the mechanism for the transfer of the German know-how and experience in this field to Jordan. The experienced guests highlighted the results obtained from the greywater pilot treatment plant at the Jordan University of Science and Technology in Irbid. The director of the center discussed with the guests the possibility of having a pilot plant for treating greywater at the center for research purposes.
