The Language Center at the University of Jordan held an open cultural day for foreign students enrolled in the program of Teaching Arabic to Speakers of Other Languages, which included the "International Traditional Dish".

During the event, the students presented traditional foods, sweets, and drinks that are popular in their cuisines; especially those served on social occasions. Furthermore, the academic and administrative staff at the center presented the most famous and prominent Jordanian dishes, as this is an important opportunity for communication and exchange of cultures between students of different nationalities, especially related to social life in their countries.

The activities of this day varied to include a screening of a social film of Arab culture, lyrical spots of the Jordanian Folklore, in addition to competitions for all levels of students held by Abjad Association concerned with language competitions.
